We Go Green | Lalin Law Office

Aspire to make the world a better place to live

We go Green!

We go Green – That is the moto of our office when it comes to responsibility towards environment and our mother Earth. The world has a fixed amount of natural resources so we have to take care how we use it and how we are going to replace it with renewable resources. Earth gives to us all, but what do we give in return?

For a long period of time Lalin Law Office has been supporting and contributing to sustainable development of our society, against pollution and in favor of recycling and using renewable energy sources.

Our office was among the first and very few at that time to provide legal support for recycling projects in Serbia, way back at the end of the last century.

Nowadays, through ongoing work, our office is engaged in two major renewable energy resources projects in Serbia. We are main legal advisers for Mirotin Energo and Ereda. Said projects are aimed to use wind and existing biomass (which would go to waste otherwise) to produce electrical energy and hot water for long distance heating system in town of Vrbas, Serbia.

Also, for the second year in a row, our office is engaged as main legal adviser for Serbia Irrigation and Drainage Rehabilitation Project in two aspects. First aspect is to organize and register Water users associations in Serbia as a new type of legal entity, in between of a non government and non for profit organization. Second aspect is to contribute to Serbian Government in creation of Water users associations Law, which would create Water users associations as self-governed and sustainable entities, separate from other existing legal forms. These Water users associations are then expected to participate together with the local government in responsible regulation and managing of existing water resources in Serbia. The aim is to create an interwoven system of control of responsible and sustainable water usage in Serbia.
